Fruit is one of the most healthy foods imaginable. Surely fruit would be good for you no matter what time of the day you eat it or whether your stomach was full or not. Fruit has long been a key component of good nutrition. Even though fruits has the highest water content and good nutrition in it there are some fictions saying that you should eat fruits in your empty stomach.

- Eating fruit after other foods, prevents it from going to the intestines.
- When fruit comes in contact with food and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.
- When fruit mixes with other food produces gas in the system and you bloat.
- Don't drink juice that has been heated or fruit that has been cooked because cooking destroys all the vitamins.

Most of the fictions above are seems to be not true. The foods in the stomach do not prevent the nutrients in the fruit from reaching the intestines or prevent them from being absorbed. The food never gets spoiled when it contacts with fruits. That is completely not logical. Whole fruit contains more fiber and nutrients that may not be contained in the juice portion of the fruit. But cooking and processing of fruits also release and raise the level of some other nutrients.

- People who eat lots of fruit live longer
Regardless of whether you eat your fruits on an empty stomach, with other food, cooked, juiced or raw, including fruits in your diet is a good thing. Include at least 3 servings of fruits each day. Choose fruits that are high in fiber and rich in antioxidants. Eat fruits as fresh as possible for maximum nutrient content.
